New Delhi: In a recent press conference, the Indian Army accused Pakistan of launching a series of military actions targeting Indian military installations along the western front using high-speed missiles. According to Colonel Sophia of the Indian Army, these attacks caused limited damage.
Colonel Sophia alleged that Pakistan deployed UCAV drones, long-range weapons, artillery, and fighter jets in an attempt to damage Indian military infrastructure. However, she emphasized that Indian forces successfully thwarted these attempts.
The Indian Army further claimed that Pakistan attempted aerial incursions at more than 26 locations along the international border and the Line of Control (LoC), ranging from Srinagar to Naliya. Despite these efforts, Indian forces effectively defended against the attacks.
Colonel Sophia detailed that limited damage occurred at air stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, Bhuj, and Bathinda. Notably, she mentioned that Pakistan launched high-speed missiles at 1:40 AM targeting an airbase station in Punjab. She condemned this action as "reprehensible and unprofessional," adding that Pakistan targeted healthcare centers and schools at Air Force bases in Srinagar, Awantipora, and Udhampur.
The Indian Ministry of Defense and Ministry of External Affairs jointly denied Pakistani claims of damaging Indian military infrastructure. Wing Commander Vyumika Singh of the Indian Air Force highlighted that Pakistan had been conducting a "malicious misinformation campaign." She dismissed Pakistani allegations of damaging Indian S-400 systems in Adampur, destroying airfields in Surat and Sirsa, and targeting military positions in Nagrota, Chandigarh, and other locations.
"India categorically rejects these false claims made by Pakistan," Wing Commander Singh asserted.
India’s Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, reiterated that Pakistan’s actions have consistently fueled provocation and tension. "We have seen this aggressive approach again this morning, and we have defended responsibly and measuredly," he stated.
The press conference further alleged that Pakistani troops were seen moving forward, suggesting an aggressive posture that could escalate the situation. Nevertheless, Indian armed forces responded effectively to all hostile actions and reaffirmed their commitment to de-escalation.
